(Victory to Hanuman, the ocean of wisdom and virtue! Victory to the Lord of Monkeys, who illuminates the three worlds!)

Ram doot atulit bal dhama | Anjani-putra Pavan sut nama

(You are the messenger of Rama, the abode of immeasurable strength, known as the son of Anjani and the Son of the Wind.)

Mahabir Bikram Bajrangi | Kumati nivar sumati Ke sangi

(O great hero, mighty as a thunderbolt, you remove evil thoughts and are the companion of those with good wisdom.)

Kanchan baran biraj subesa | Kanan Kundal Kunchit Kesa

(Your complexion is golden, and you look beautiful in your fine attire, with shining earrings and curly hair.)

Hath Bajra Au Dhvaja Virajai | Kandhe moonj janeu saajai

(In your hands shine the thunderbolt and the victory flag; across your shoulder is the sacred thread of Munja grass.)

Sankar suvan Kesari nandan | Tej pratap maha jag vandan

(You are the incarnation of Lord Shiva and the joy of Kesari; your great aura and radiance are worshipped by the whole world.)

Bidyavan guni ati chatur | Ram kaj karibe ko aatur

(You are highly learned, virtuous, and clever, always eager to perform the tasks of Lord Rama.)

Prabu charitra sunibe ko rasiya | Ram Lakhan Sita man Basiya

(You take great delight in listening to the stories of the Lord; Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita reside in your heart.)

Sukshma roop dhari Siyahi dikhava | Bikata roop dhari lanka jarava

(You appeared before Sita in a tiny form, but assumed a terrifying form to burn the city of Lanka.)

Bhima roop dhari asur sanhare | Ramachandra ke kaj sanvare

(Assuming a gigantic form, you destroyed the demons and accomplished the tasks of Lord Ramachandra.)

Laye Sanjivan Lakhan Jiyaye | Shri Raghubir Harashi ur laye

(You brought the Sanjivani herb and revived Lakshmana, for which Lord Rama embraced you with joy.)

Raghupati Kinhi bahut badai | Tum mama priya Bharat-hi sam bhai

(Lord Rama praised you highly, saying, “You are as dear to me as my brother Bharata.”)

Sahas badan tumharo yas gaave | Asa kahi Shripati kanth lagaave

( “The thousand-headed Serpent sings your glory,” saying this, the Lord of Lakshmi (Rama) embraced you.)

Sanakadik Brahmadi Munisa | Narad Sarad sahit Ahisa

(Sages like Sanaka, deities like Brahma, and masters like Narada and Sharada, along with the Serpent King, sing your praise.)

Yam Kuber Digpal Jahan te | Kavi kovid kahi sake kahan te

(Yama, Kubera, and the guardians of the four directions—even poets and scholars fail to describe your full glory.)

Tum upkar Sugreevahin keenha | Ram milaye rajpad deenha

(You did a great favor for Sugriva by introducing him to Rama and helping him regain his kingdom.)

Tumharo mantra Vibheeshan maana | Lankeshwar Bhaye Sab jag jaana

(Vibhisana followed your advice and became the King of Lanka, as is known throughout the world.)

Yug sahasra yojan par Bhanu | Leelyo tahi madhur phal janu

(The sun is thousands of miles away, yet you swallowed it, thinking it was a sweet fruit.)

Prabhu mudrika meli mukh maahi | Jaladhi langhi gaye achraj naahi

(Carrying the Lord’s ring in your mouth, you leaped across the ocean—it is no surprise for someone like you.)

Durgam kaj jagat ke jete | Sugam anugraha tumhare tete

(All the difficult tasks in this world become easy by your grace.)

Ram duware tum rakhvare | Hot na agya binu paisare

(You are the guardian at the gate of Lord Rama; no one can enter without your permission.)

Sab sukh lahai tumhari sarna | Tum rakshak kahu ko darna

(All happiness lies in your refuge. When you are the protector, why should one fear?)

Aapan tej samharo aapai | Teenon lok hank te kanpai

(Only you can control your own brilliance; the three worlds tremble when you roar.)

Bhoot pishach Nikat nahin aave | Mahabir jab naam sunave

(Ghosts and evil spirits do not come near when one utters the name of the Great Hero, Hanuman.)

Nase rog hare sab peera | Japat nirantar Hanumant beera

(All diseases are cured and all pains vanish when one constantly chants the name of the brave Hanuman.)

Sankat te Hanuman chhudave | Man Kram Bachan dyan jo lave

(Hanuman delivers one from all troubles if one meditates on him in thought, word, and deed.)

Sab par Ram tapasvee raja | Tin ke kaj sakal tum saja

(Rama is the supreme ascetic King, and you carried out all his tasks successfully.)

Aur manorath jo koi lave | Sohi amit jivan phal pave

(Whoever comes to you with any desire attains the immortal fruit of life.)

Charon yug partap tumhara | Hai parsiddha jagat ujiyara

(Your glory prevails through all four ages; your fame illuminates the entire universe.)

Sadhu Sant ke tum Rakhware | Asur nikandan Ram dulare

(You are the protector of saints and sages, the destroyer of demons, and the darling of Rama.)

Ashta sidhi nav nidhi ke data | As bar deen Janki mata

(Mother Sita granted you the boon to be the bestower of the eight supernatural powers and nine treasures.)

Ram rasayan tumhare pasa | Sada raho Raghupati ke dasa

(You possess the nectar of Rama’s name; may you always remain the servant of Lord Rama.)

Tumhare bhajan Ram ko pave | Janam janam ke dukh bisrave

(By singing your praise, one finds Rama and forgets the sorrows of many lifetimes.)

Ant kaal Raghubar pur jai | Jahan janam Hari-Bakht kahai

(At the time of death, such a devotee goes to the abode of Rama and is known as a devotee of the Lord in every birth.)

Aur Devta Chit na dharai | Hanumant se hi sarba sukh karai

(One need not worship any other deity; serving Hanuman alone grants all happiness.)

Sankat kate mite sab peera | Jo sumirai Hanumat balbeera

(Troubles end and pains vanish for those who remember the powerful Hanuman.)

Jai Jai Jai Hanuman Gosain | Kripa Karahu Gurudev ki nyahin

(Victory, victory, victory to Lord Hanuman! Shower your grace upon me like a divine teacher.)

Jo sat bar path kare koi | Chhutahi bandhi maha sukh hoyi

(Whoever recites this a hundred times will be freed from bondage and attain great joy.)

Jo yeh padhe Hanuman Chalisa | Hoye siddhi sakhi Gaureesa

(Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa will attain success, as Lord Shiva is the witness.)

Tulsidas sada hari chera | Keejai Das Hriday mein dera

(Tulsidas is forever the servant of the Lord; O Lord, please reside in my heart.)

Pavan tanay sankat harana, Mangala murati roop

Ram Lakhan Sita sahit, Hriday basahu sur bhoop

(O Son of the Wind, the destroyer of all miseries and the embodiment of auspiciousness!

Please reside in my heart along with Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita.)
